Signature Custom Homes Delivers Richard
and Marcy Davis’ Dream Home—
just in time for tax season

On a placard on top of his cherry wood desk in the spacious home office in which he conducts his daily affairs—namely getting other people’s affairs in order—you’ll find the slogan by which accountant Richard Davis lives: “Never Underestimate the Value.” Meaning never underestimate the value of a good CPA or a good homebuilder.

When Richard and his wife, Marcy, decided to build their first custom home, they took the task of researching builders very seriously, interviewing a number of prospective companies before settling upon Signature Custom Homes.

“Our primary goal was to make sure that the company was in good financial condition, which Signature Custom Homes was,” Richard recalls. “Our second goal was to make sure that the service would still be there after the home was built. Anyone can build a home; it’s what happens after they leave that really counts.”

The Davis’, who are natives of New York and moved to Las Vegas eight years ago, asked Client Liaison for Signature Custom Homes Robin Stewart for references.

“Everyone we spoke to expressed 100 percent customer satisfaction,” Richard says. And a deal was struck. The Davis’ would build their dream home in the gated community of Terracina in Seven Hills.

Their only timing requirements were that they had to be in the home before tax season, the Davis family’s busiest time of the year, and they wanted to be involved in the design process. So the Davis’ sat down with Signature Custom Home’s designer to discuss the plans for their new home, which would overlook Rio Secco golf course nestled in the hills of Henderson. One major priority was an open floor plan that maximized the views of the valley, surrounding mountains and golf course and a first floor master suite.

The Davis’ next step was choosing finishes, such as flooring and fixtures, for their home. The design team showed the Davis’ their options, and when the couple expressed a need for even more direction on their finish selections, they were happy to introduce them to acclaimed interior designer Joy Bell of Joy Bell Design. “We have Signature Custom Homes to thank for finding Joy Bell,” Marcy says. “Joy tied everything together; she really customized our custom home.”

“Our home was finished ahead of schedule in just 16 months, 8 months shy of what it takes most builders and their customer service was exceptional in every detail.”, says Richard.
